1.Question: Any motion sensor?

Answers: it has motion sensor and also has ambient light sensor. If there's a lot of ambient light it doesn't turn on.

2.Question: do I need to plug the USB into power supply all the time?

Answers: No. Don't. Only for charging.

3.Question: Will the magnet stick to the coated wire shelving used in closet systems?

Answers:The light itself has a very strong magnet inside and may be enough as it comes out of the box. If it isn't strong enough, the box is packed with a metal strip with some stickums to help you adhere the metal strip to almost anything. Then the light itself can be boinked onto the metal strip and (at least for me) the thing is mounted. It is really a neat (and bright) installation
